Community-Led Housing

We're creating quality, affordable co-designed housing which suits our changing community.

Back in 2018 Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust asked more that 700 across Lockleaze what mattered to them, and their dreams for the future of Lockleaze. One of the big things people said was that they wanted better quality, well-designed social housing. You can see what they said here in the One Lockleaze Community Plan 2019-2024. 

As the Community Hub in Lockleaze, we knew we had to act. We started a Community-Led Housing project, with a Steering Group made up of over 50% local residents, LNT trustees, and a range of people with professional build environment experience. 

Although since then lots more housing is being built in Lockleaze, we still believe in the community-led approach. We now have two housing developments in progress and an operational Local Lettings Policy, all codesigned with local people.
