Lockleaze Local Lettings Policy- Important Update on HomeChoice Process

what is the lockleaze Local Lettings Policy?

The Lockleaze Local Lettings Policy applies to all newly built homes for social and affordable rent in the Lockleaze ward.

It means that 50% of these properties could be allocated to people with a connection to Lockleaze, under the criteria established by the local community.

This policy can increase your chances of being allocated a home in the area, supporting you to remain in your community.

Since the policy was developed by Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust and our community in 2023, we’ve been working to make sure it is executed properly. Based on feedback and reviews, we’ve worked with the Bristol City Council to create a clearer process to make sure your application is considered under the policy.
