Wellbeing Art Group Celebrate Women’s Cricket

Women’s Cricket is being celebrated in Bristol with ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 coming to the Bristol County Ground. They will host six matches across four matchdays, starting with West Indies v Sri Lanka on Sunday 21 June, and ending with a double header on Saturday 27 June with matches featuring Pakistan and West Indies against Netherlands Women and Ireland Women.

As part of the celebrations Izzie from Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and Jen from Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation brought art materials to our Art for Wellbeing group to be part of creating a mural about Women’s Cricket in Bristol that will go up in the Bristol County Ground. Artists enjoyed the challenge and the theme – and as always, made it their own.

We look forward to seeing the mural which will be completed later this year – and we are excited to visit the Bristol County Ground later this year!

Art for Wellbeing is a friendly craft group with tea, running Thursday mornings at the Hub from 10:30 to 12:30.

There are two tables, one for you to work on your own projects and another where attendees are led through an art activity suitable for those with learning differences.

Art for Wellbeing is £3.50, with a free first session. Support workers come for free.
