In 2025 and 2026, we worked to refresh our Community Plan with a community-wide survey and series of discussions. This is organised by Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust with partners across Lockleaze including The Vench, local schools, North Bristol Advice Centre and Lockleaze Sports Centre.
The aim was to learn more about what’s working in Lockleaze, what needs more work, and what’s missing. That way, we can work together as residents and organisations to plan future projects, create change in our community and be vocal about what we need with local government.
The survey is now closed, and the plan will be launched in July 2026.
Community Plan 2019 – 2024
In 2017-2018, Lockleaze residents and local organisations undertook a community-wide survey and a series of meetings, workshops and focus groups on different topics such as Housing and Transport and Food. The result was the Our Lockleaze Community Plan, a vital resource sharing our community’s thoughts and priorities for 2019 to 2024. You can read about the development of the plan here.
Acting on the community’s priorities, LNT developed the Lockleaze Local Lettings Policy, co-designed Community Led Housing (being built 2026), developed a Community Climate Action Plan and the rewilding project Really Wild Lockleaze, provided new advice drop-ins and spaces for togetherness, such as our Community Feasts – to name just a few results.
