New Community Cafe Fundraising

Really exciting news- we are fundraising to open a new community cafe in Lockleaze!

The cafe will be part of the new community centre on Cameron Walk– read more here. But while the community hall, kitchen and reception will be fully fitted out as a full replacement for our old community centre, we will only get the cafe space as a concrete shell. So we need to raise money to fit it out with heating, electrics, kitchen and all – donate here.

This is a big step for Lockleaze, and we really need your help to make it work. If we can collect local donations, we can not only make a dent in our overall goal of £200k, but we can show our grant funders that this is something that Lockleaze really wants and needs. If you can help with fundraising in any way, please get in touch with info@lockleazent.co.uk.

Our community has long been asking for more places to meet, in our Community Plan and community conversations. The cafe will be a place for our community to connect, relax and meet; for local groups to get together and flourish, for volunteering and work experience to take place.

You can donate here, or in person at the Hub- and we have a few exciting rewards available. You can also share the crowdfunder as widely as you can, and keep following us for updates.

Thank you so much for contributing to our community- we are so excited about this new community space!

PS… We are hoping to bring back a library to Lockleaze – possibly sited in our new cafe – in partnership with Bristol Libraries, with the books and kit provided them. But that’s for the future – this fundraiser is for our very own Lockleaze Community Cafe.
