Help make Lockleaze Community Cafe Happen!
Lockleaze’s newest community space is coming in Spring 2027, but we need to raise money to fit out the new cafe. Let’s build our new Community Cafe together- donate today.
Our new community space
We all know that Lockleaze needs more spaces for togetherness, and as part of Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust’s new community centre on Gainsborough Square, we are creating a new Lockleaze Community Cafe.
This cafe is part of a bigger community centre, on the site of the old Cameron Centre. It will also include a community hall, kitchen, reception and small office spaces.
Why are we Fundraising?
The Community Hall and Reception will be fully fitted out, but we will only get the cafe space as a concrete shell. So LNT needs to raise money to fit out the new cafe with heating, electrics, kitchen and all.
Our community has long been asking for more places to meet, in our Community Plan and community conversations. Our weekly Hubbub Cafe has also been growing, and there is clear appetite to open throughout the week.
The Cafe will be a place for groups to meet and flourish, for volunteering and work experience to take place, and for our community to connect.
It will also host a small community-led library, the first of its kind in Bristol.
This is a big step for Lockleaze and we really need your help to make it work. If we can collect £10,000 in donations, we can not only make a dent in our overall goal of £200k, but we can show potential funders that this is something that Lockleaze really wants and needs.
