We are working together to promote community conversations about your heritage conservation priorities and which access improvements are needed for Stoke Park.
Thank you to everyone who was brave enough to ignore the forecast and join us for another Walk on the Wildside event on Wednesday. This was our 10th event in this exciting free programme and after a slightly damp start the sun came out for this Less Walk More Talk event. This walk made use of the accessible path and avoided any steep inclines or steps.
We took our time and enjoyed learning about the different wildlife that call Stoke Park home- including so many different bird species and some amazing luminous fungi. We were also lucky enough to hear and see the ring-necked parakeets and there was lots of time for questions as we progressed through the woods.
During our walk we visited some of the historical features including the pillow mounds, ancient drainage ditches and the tunnels and we discussed the importance of the project and how the surveys are supporting people to join the conversation and shape the future of Stoke Park.
