It was a pleasure to welcome back the hard working Caafi Health team this week as part of our Lockleaze Together project. Creating more opportunities for you to connect, come together and take action on the things that are important to you. For this event it was preventative health care.
We ran the event alongside our Hubbub cafe, to make sure the event felt non clinical and as relaxed and welcoming as possible. It was really positive hearing how supportive and encouraging everyone was to each other too.
“I was a bit anxious before I arrived as I wasn’t sure what to expect but everyone was friendly and welcoming. I had a cuppa while I was waiting and even got to have a chat and find out about other events”
25 residents of all ages had various health checks and tests and received helpful information and advice for their health care. Everyone left with their results. No judgement. Just clear advice and information to make their own decisions.
“One of my results was a bit surprising but I now know what to do to ensure it doesn’t get worse. It feels good to be in control and to really understand that I have the power to make changes that will benefit my health.”
We received 100% positive feedback with everyone grateful to have the opportunity to have free health checks locally, in a friendly, familiar, accessible venue.
