Celebrating Our ACE Older Residents

We’re so proud of local residents Ted and Andy for taking part in the ACE project and are so glad they took the plunge to get involved. Like many of our older residents they are massive assets to our community, and it’s a pleasure to celebrate them all on the International Day of Older Persons. You can hear directly from them in this video.

ACE (Active, Connected, Engaged) is a peer-volunteering programme designed to help older adults improve physical function, enhance mobility, and build meaningful social connections. It’s led by the University of Birmingham, and funded by the NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research).

You can visit Hubbub Cafe at the Hub every Wednesday between 10:30am and 13:30pm.
