The Stoke Park Project is a collaboration between Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, Bristol City Council and Steve England Outdoor Learning.
We are working together to promote community conversations about your heritage conservation priorities and which access improvements are needed for Stoke Park.
This was another of our Less Walk More Talk History of Stoke Park Events and again the weather was very kind.
We took a gentle walk around the woods stopping to see and learn more about the historical features on the way. We even spotted several different types of Fungi- all accompanied by cheerful bird songs.
It was very muddy and we made full use of the accessible path including the serpentine paths throughout.
There were plenty of pauses for questions and we visited the area close to the iconic Dower House too, where Steve shared his extensive knowledge about the house, grounds and its many uses over the years, including the people who lived there.
