This Listening Space is held by charity Bridges for Communities. Listening Spaces are places where we can meet face to face and listen to one another. It’s a place where we can disagree well whilst holding respect for one another. This helps to build our understanding so we are better equipped to live well with difference.

Read the description below from Bridges for Communities.
Over the past few months, flags of St George and the Union Jack have been put up around the UK and in Bristol, evoking a range of opinions and feelings – for some a symbol of pride and belonging, and for others one of intimidation and exclusion. Most of the debate has taken place online, stoking emotions further and causing deeper divisions in our communities.
We are creating an opportunity for people of all viewpoints to come together for a facilitated group conversation around this topic, with the goal of building understanding.
Listening Spaces help us to explain our thoughts and feelings in a space where people have come to listen and to understand where one another are coming from.
Participants must read and agree to the Listening Spaces guidelines in order to attend, and to ensure that this is a respectful space for everybody.
Listening Spaces
