On the hottest day of the year so far we were delighted to welcome almost 80 residents of all ages to celebrate together for our Summer Feast. Our programme of themed community feasts are opportunities for residents to connect and make the most of our neighbourhood.

“Well organised event, well done to all involved.”
This was the 5th feast and we welcomed Bristol Refugee Festival Team who invited Alphonse Touna for some amazing live music and some very lively dance instruction from Diego, who taught us how to bachata!
“Another fantastic feast! The music and dancing was great- we loved it- thank you!”
Badges galore were created and gifted, and a creative drawing and colouring table were very popular with our younger residents.
“What a nice event! Our son loved the badgemaking and making his own treat – what friendly staff!”
We each had a delicious picnic bag and were also able to make a healthy sweet treat with expert tuition from our friends 91 Ways.
We gave out table tennis sets so even more residents can play whenever they visit Gainsborough Square – that’s over 60 sets that were gifted to the community from Bristol Civil Service Table Tennis Club.
“Wow thanks for the free table tennis bats and balls – everyone here is so helpful and kind”
Due to the temperature reaching almost 34 degrees we kept everything inside to keep everyone cool and calm and we had some great conversations.
“The Hub is a fantastic place to go to share what you think and to share your worries – thank you” – a young visitor
Join us for the next community event -Harvest Feast on Saturday 20th September.
It will be your chance to get your bake on for this shared supper – watch this space for more info coming soon.
