A massive thank you to all the residents who attended and contributed to our third Community Feast of the year. Although the temperature was hot we kept our cool and shared a delightful early evening together.
Before we sat down to eat, everyone tried Tai Chi with the amazing Cat, who leads our weekly sessions every Friday- find out more here.
“This is the first time I have tried Tai Chi. It’s gentle and I feel great, I could give it a go”
“Lovely relaxed, chill atmosphere- a great way to finish the week”

Everyone bought a dish to share- including pakoras, various rice dishes, potato curry, Japanese potato salad, delicious desserts like baklava, meethi seviyan, sweet rice, crinkle cake and as much water melon you could eat!
We were really spoiled for choice. We also supplied ingredient cards so residents could share recipes and inspire each other.
“I tried a lot of different delicious foods and I’m definitely going to try and make some of them at home”

This feast was also the launch of the Our Lockleaze Community Plan 2026-2030, and we shared the first printed copies with everyone. You can read it here or get yourself a copy at the Hub.
“I’m excited to read this- the voice of our community”
Our Friendly Thursday group regulars attended en masse sharing delicious recipes from around the world and having some of their amazing hand made bags, aprons and key rings for sale to showcase their skills and creativity. They will also have a stall at our table top sale in December as part of our Festive events programme. Find out more about Friendly Thursday here.

“Everything is beautifully made and affordable- I love my key ring and bag”
Almost 70 residents attended, of all ages, and made the most of the opportunity to
connect with each other and the Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust team.
“I loved it! Lush food, genuine and inspiring conversations-everyone welcome as always. Well done LNT!”
