As part of our Lockleaze Together project we’re working with local residents to create regular community feasts throughout 2026, providing space and support to bring our community together. Our aim is to increase opportunities for Lockleaze residents to connect, share and learn new skills, meet each other, and celebrate our community.
A massive thank you to all the residents who were involved in and attended the amazing community feast last week, the first one in 2026. What a great evening!
The community Iftar was planned, organised and delivered by Lockleaze residents working together, an event to welcome all faiths and those of no faith.

Thank you to all who organised this amazing community event- bringing us together in
celebration of Ramadan. All of the catering was by local residents too- everything was prepared, cooked and delivered ready for everyone to share after a wonderful and informative introduction. There was an opportunity for questions and an opportunity for prayer.
We had chicken and rice, chickpea curry and rice, dates, date balls, fruit chaat, fresh fruit and pancakes made with honey. We all ate well and no food was wasted as we all were able to take any leftovers home.

We had a full house with maximum attendance and we had a fabulous time learning and talking to each other and spending time together. It’s what we do best- being together.

For this feast we were delighted to welcome some new Lockleaze residents too and it was a relaxed and enjoyable way for them to meet some of their neighbours for the first time- they provided the delicious desserts and very popular fruit platters.

Having fun and making the most of our neighbourhood together is a big part of what Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust does. It was great to hear your feedback and that you are all looking forward to the next event.
