Really Wild Lockleaze was shortlisted for the Sustainability Award at Bristol Legends by Bristol 24/7!
We were shortlisted in the Nature & Biodiversity Category, alongside the Festival of Nature, Black to Nature, and BS13’s Compost Jenny. We were so proud of our community that we have made such an impression on Bristol with our action for nature – Lockleaze is amazing!
Eric and Eleanor attended the awards ceremony on Friday night, and celebrated with Bristol Natural History Consortium who won the category award, and Mark Leach, who led the council’s side of the Bristol Community Climate and Nature Action project, under which Really Wild Lockleaze was started. Mark Leach was declared the overall winner of the Sustainability category – and the Sustainability Legend!
It is wonderful to get this recognition for Really Wild Lockleaze, and proves yet again, that our residents are making waves across the city. We are so pleased to still be here working with residents to improve Lockleaze for nature, and hope to see you at an event soon!
