We love celebrating our Community Champions: residents like you who are taking action to make a difference in their community.
Here’s a few words from local resident Hayley, who we were delighted to support.
Hello!
I thought I would share the results of our litter pick this afternoon.
We picked from Filton Avenue Primary School up to where the golden bottle used to be and we filled two bags!
We had so much fun doing it that we popped back for some extra bags to do the same again the next day after school!
There were lots of people who commented saying we were doing a great job & they’d like to have a go too- so the girls had a great time.
It was so handy to be able to borrow the stuff from The Hub, our local Community Centre.
And the kids loved their little litter pickers that were just the right size for them!
Thank you to the team at Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust
Litter picking has so many positive benefits – its free, you have fun, fresh air and exercise and it’s a great reason to get outdoors on a gloomy January afternoon.
You make an immediate difference – not just for your neighbours but for wildlife too!
Thank you Hayley and family for helping keep Lockleaze Litter free.
