You have three more days to spot an advert featuring Really Wild!

Really Wild Lockleaze is our ground-breaking community nature project, supporting people all over Lockleaze to create more space for wildlife in our community. It increases insect life, brings people together and improves our neighbourhood for everyone.
We’re really proud of this work and are excited to inspire other communities to do the same, thanks to this generous donation from Bauer Media Outdoor.

This picture was taken at the Big Gainsborough Meadow Sow, when over 50 local people worked together sow a wildflower meadow in Lockleaze’s central park. Below you can see the meadow in full flower last Summer- and how it looked today, with new shoots coming up in time for Spring.

Really Wild Lockleaze is part of Bristol City Council’s Nature Together Project, which is funded via National Lottery Heritage Fund, the National Trust, and Natural England.
As well as working with us, Bristol Older People’s Forum and Eastside Community Trust, this project aims to create a streamlined process for Bristol residents to apply for a permit to create space for nature on public land, inspired by our project.
Really Wild Lockleaze began as part of the Community Climate & Nature Action project, organised by Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership and funded by the National Lottery Community Climate Action Fund. This project is going from strength to strength across the South West, and we’re proud to be community advocates.
