Bee Walk
Every month between March and October a group of local residents take an hour-long stroll round Lockleaze, identifying every bee that they see. We report back to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust as part of their monitoring scheme. Collecting this data is really vital as we fight for the survival of our bee species.

the Lockleaze Butterfly Survey
Calling all residents of Lockleaze! We would love to know which butterflies you have seen in your garden or local green space in Summer 2026. This is a way that anyone can be part of Really Wild- even from your window.
It’s super easy- all you have to do is identify which butterflies you have seen and submit below. If you prefer, you can write down the date, location and butterfly you’ve seen and bring into the Hub.

Why Take Part?
This will allow Really Wild Lockleaze meadows to grow the right food for butterflies in our area to support them.
We’re already trying to support the small blue butterfly (left), so we’d love to know if you see one!
We will report back our findings such as most common/rare butterflies and how well they are doing at the end of the season.
