For several years Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust oversaw the Love Lockleaze festival on Gainsborough Square. This was a weekend of activities, food trucks, awards for local people and a chance to celebrate the community. The festival has previously been funded by Bristol City Council.
After the 2017 festival, which 400 people attended throughout the weekend, we took a break from organising. Since 2024, Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust has organised a yearly Climate & Nature Festival, with the support of volunteers. This has provided another opportunity for the community to meet and celebrate, with stalls, performances and activities around the themes of climate and nature action.
