Really Wild Wednesday at Lockleaze Sports Centre

We will be scything the meadows at Lockleaze Sports Centre from the usual time of 1:30pm. The meadows looked amazing over the summer running all along the cycle path towards the MOD/Filton Abbey wood – but we now need to reset them ready for the new years’ growth so will be cutting them back, raking off, and putting up signs to protect them from the mowers.

Really wild wednesdays
Join a roving community taskforce to create and maintain ponds, meadow and woodland across Lockleaze.
Really Wild Wednesdays are our regular nature volunteering sessions. Every session we’ll be out working in nature on housing greens and public space across Lockleaze, allowing different parts of the community to meet, mingle and support each other. Plus get some exercise, learn some outdoor skills and get outside! All ages and abilities are welcome, with tasks for all.
When: Every other Wednesday from 1:30 – 5:00pm. Starts Jan 28th.

All ages, and abilities are welcome, with tasks for all. All tools and training provided. No need to come to every session or attend the whole session. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water. For access information please get in touch. See you soon!
