This two year arts project collected stories from all the varied communities around Lockleaze, to tell the story of this place through the people who live here.
In recognition of the changes in Lockleaze we used story collection to share different people’s perspective on how we got to here. This was a community led co-designed project and so the outcomes were led by the stories we collected and the people who got involved. We held workshops with theatre artist Jody Cook, walks, and employed community story collectors like Grace who led regular Buzz cafe drop ins. All these ideas have all come from what the residents involved are passionate about.
