Got surplus apples? Donate them at the Hub on Friday 4th October to be pressed into a Proper Bristol Cider.
Apples can be a bit bruised but must not be rotten.
Donated apples will be pressed into juice at the University Botanic Garden Apple Day on the 4th October– you can attend from 11-3 to watch the pressing and enjoy entertainment. Anyone donating at least 5kg of apples will receive free entry to the garden, experience the apple pressing, and have the chance to enjoy some freshly squeezed apple juice.
The apples will be fermented into cider, and bottled by The Cider Box, supporting public engagement, community spirit, and circular economy initiatives.
In 2027 you will be able to redeem the apples they donated in the form of cider.
